Memorable Achievements:

• When I was at a top roping comp at Granite Arch, I didn't realize how well I was climbing. But after the comp as they were announcing places I noticed my name wasn't being called at 9th or 10th place (there were only 9 or 10 girls competing at my level) and surprisingly I took 4th place. I was really happy, because that was my personal best.

 

Why you love to climb and what Zero Gravity means to you:

• I love to climb because it makes me feel so free on the wall and it's fun. Through climbing on the team I've made very good friends. Zero Gravity is such a wonderful thing for me because when the original Wednesday team quit, it turned into Zero Gravity and it was just such a wonderful opportunity for me to climb with all these wonderful people and to get better at climbing.

Anything else about you:

• In addition to rock climbing, Sylvie has performed in the Sacramento Ballet's Nutcracker for the last two years.
