Why you love to climb and what Zero Gravity means to you:

  • Zero Gravity has been the best thing for my climbing. We are coached by two of the top coaches in the nation and the team is unbelievably supportive of each and every athlete, no matter if you are 10 or 17. Age does not make a difference of how hard you crush and your motivation level to train. Our team is a competition based and we train to get strong, improve ourselves, our climbing, and to achieve goals.

  • Climbing is a lot more than the physical act of climbing, it is about the friends and experiences that you gain from the struggle and victories that will last you a lifetime.

Favorite place to climb/travel:

  • Bishop, CA

Anything else about you:

  • I am a true climber; I live and breathe it. I train at least four days a week at either Berkeley Ironworks or Sacramento Pipeworks trying to achieve my competition and outside climbing goals. Not only do I train, but also I hold a 3.79 GPA in school. Balancing that and climbing is hard, yet, the motivation to achieve in both areas is always there.

  • With many climbers, injuries are common and for me that has definitely been the case. I had shoulder surgery two years ago and in October of 2013, I broke my back; not allowing me to climb for eight months.

  • Even with the bad injury luck, there has been a good outcome. I am currently as assistant coach for Zero Gravity and it has been amazing watching the climbing/competition scene from a different eye. I will be climbing in no time and I look forward to sending double digits and competing in another National Championship.
