What Zero Gravity meant to you:

  • Zero Gravity has played a big role in shaping who I am today. It has made me a stronger person, physically and mentally, showing me that to be able to compete your best, you need to work on both.

  • I’ve trained five years with Zero Gravity, but what I have learned through the experience will always apply in all areas of my life: like self discipline, challenging myself, and using each success and failure to drive me to try harder. I’ve come to appreciate that no matter where my career may lead, climbing will always be a major part of my life, because at the end of the day,  it’s just a lot of fun.

My favorite place to climb:

  • Wherever there are climbers, because the social component is really important. Giving tips, encouraging and congratulating one another; these are all perks that come with climbing. Whether you’re at the Red River Gorge or at an indoor gym, hanging out with other climbers is what makes it very cool.

What you went on to do with your life:

  • Right now, I’m studying biomedical engineering, with the dream of contributing something significant in the field, but it’s a demanding major, so my challenge is being able to fit in time for climbing. I’ve never been one to back down from a challenge, however, so I’m determined to make it work!
